04. here’s your award, as a writer

The Writer writes to reflect a state of self-awareness coupled with an uncertainty about all writers’ identities, purposes and relationships with the internet (perhaps, even the world at large). He is taking on a difficult task, just to ignore a godlike reader. The writer feels a sense of addiction to the network and information, but also a longing for a more fulfilling, authentic existence.

While he seems to feel that the internet is both a source of distraction and a way of connecting with others, and that the key to self-regard is writing or doing one’s “thing”; the writer also seems to acknowledge the power dynamics at play in the world and the need for self-creation and self-regard, especially when his supply of external validation runs out (he is getting old, bald, and no one likes a man who managed to remain lonely and whiny).

The writer desperately paints a picture of a passionate lover, another writer, who is in a constant battle with their inner self and the world around them. They are a hero in their own right, with a devotion to the art of writing that cannot be silenced. The writer is a master of the online realm, where they can fantasize connecting with their admirers and share their deepest thoughts and feelings. They embody the spirit of the internet, the very essence of self-expression.

The writer is also a lover, a narcissistic ex, who is afraid to show the world their vulnerabilities and insecurities. They are constantly searching, through their writing and through the connections they form with others. Despite their struggles with everyone in their lives – absolutely everyone!!!!!!!! – the writer is always fighting to find meaning in their existence and to leave their mark on the world.

Their words are a testament to their bravery and determination, a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there is always a glimmer of hope.

The writer is a hero and their story is a reminder of the beauty and power of self-expression and narcissism.

KEEP. WRITING.

It’s all you have.
