“The wound is the place where the light enters you.”
We are more than just machines, our ability to prefer certain interpretations over others sets us apart. Our capacity to perceive the universal and still choose the singular is what makes us truly human. But the road to becoming a software engineer lies in embracing the complexities of field, tempered by notoriously poor communication skills, making the journey a labyrinthine experience.
Who am I and what is this for?
I am aware that many of my close friends are content with the simplicity of browsing TikTok videos on their laptops, free of the challenges and rewards of programming. But as Emil Cioran felt: The universe is not the problem, the problem is our imagining of the universe. And I, like many before me, was lured by the cryptic charm of programming. My own journey as a startup engineer was a test of patience and perseverance.
So, I collect my understandings, my experiences, and my wisdom here, to shed light on the path for others and to maybe shed light on the importance of online spaces that are accessible and inclusive. Laptops may be cheap, but we need diverse perspectives to build a truly inclusive world. Join me as I cut corners from past written notes in an an attempt to salvage the art of coding and writing; and maybe you can delve into the limitless possibilities of beauty and understanding.
This space expects to meet more than a literary map to clarity. It is expected to meet me, as its author. Thank you, and welcome.
